Professional Profile

Deborah Jaffe retired from LeSourd & Patten, P.S. in 2010.  Her practice emphasized the resolution of tax disputes and controversies, both federal and state. Ms. Jaffe’s entire legal career was in the tax field. Ms. Jaffe was formerly Acting District Counsel of The Internal Revenue Service for the State of Louisiana, having spent twelve years with the Internal Revenue Service District Counsel in New Orleans, including five years as Assistant District Counsel, during which she handled a wide variety of tax issues and tried numerous cases before the U.S. Tax Court.

Ms. Jaffe also handled Washington State taxation matters including audits and appeals.

Ms. Jaffe was born and raised on the island of Aruba, and she has also lived in London and Singapore. A resident of Washington since 1986, she now lives in the city of Sammamish with her husband, Gil, who is an architect, and their five children. She is a quiltmaker, active in several local guilds, and is an avid reader.
